PanicK 0.8

The PanicK VST Plugin can be used to create stereo signals out of mono signals. It uses the amplitude of the mono signal to modulate the pan position. Thus, loud signals will be moving very fast (actually at sampling rate speed) from extreem left to extreem right, becoming mono-compatible stereo signals. Adjusting this plugin is something that takes a little bit of practice, but it does produce a nice stereo and strange auto-panning effects. If you have any utility that displays the panoramic image of the audio (Waves PAZ or Pinguin Audio Meter for example) - Youll find it very useful. Plugging my Panner right after the Panick will enhance the PanicK effect even further.PlugIn parameters:Sensitivity - amplifies the input signal before the pan modulation. The further you go up, the wider itll be.LPF - Filters the signal before the pan modulation. Since high frequencies cause a very rapid L-R movement, high pitched noise may be audible. A little filtering would solve that. Intense filtering would cause a much slower L-R movement, and will produce a strange auto-pan effect thats related to the signal. Q - the resonance parameter of the LPF. Used to fine-tune auto-pan behaviour.Attack/Decay - a by-polar envelope follower to provide further control and make the L-R movement even slower.Width - the overall width of the PanicK effect. Extreem right is full spread.Pan Offset - determines the center position - e.g. the pan position for signals at -infinity level.Inverse L/R - self explanatory.Volume - output volume of the PanicK.Create stereo signals out of mono signals
